These wild Whale Sharks can grow in excess of 15m (50ft), bigger than a bus!  But don’t fret.  Whale Sharks are completely harmless and have no real teeth.  They are one of the largest animals and eat some of the smallest prey.  

"Gentile Giants" or "Mr Big."  Whatever nickname you give them there is no experience like swimming, snorkeling or diving with a Whale Shark.

Our Oslob Whale Shark Encounter leaves Granada Beach Resort at 5am for our 20 minute air conditioned van ride to the village of Tan-Awan where the Whale Sharks naturally congregated during their seasonal migration. We leave early to avoid the bigger crowds that can gather later in the morning.  Like all our tours, we design our Oslob Whale Shark Philippines tour to help keep our guests holiday hassle free. 

Granada Beach Resort Oslob Whale Shark Encounter includes:

• Transfer in Air Conditioned Vehicle:  6:00am departure, transit time is 20 minutes (give or take 5 mins for traffic)
• High quality snorkeling equipment
• Marine Sanctuary Fees for your :30 min snorkel or :60 min scuba dive with the whale sharks
• Our tour guide who helps to organize your tour so our guests don’t wait as long.
• In water guide who is there for safety and to work with you to take your photo** with the Whale Sharks*

*Please note these are wild animals and not caged. We can not guarantee the Whale Sharks show up for every tour.  We are lucky and have only had a handful of no-shows, but in the event of a no show we still have costs to cover and there will still be a tour charge. 

**Photos are only available for our snorkeling tour.  Please note our guide is there first and foremost to assist guests and keep them safe.  If it is safe for them to take photos they will. 

***Salt water and cameras have a love hate relationship.  Sometimes issues occur and the camera could not work.  Photos are provided as an added bonus and discounts will not be given for tours where the photos don’t turn out.
