Cebu Osmena Peak Hike

Southern Cebu has many amazing waterfalls and spectacular ocean adventures. Did you know we have mountains too? Osmeña Peak is the highest point on the island of Cebu. Our hiking might not be as strenuous as a hike through the Rocky Mountains or the Alps but our topography and scenery is stunning in its own right and makes for a great afternoon sunset hike!

We begin the tour in the afternoon with a sixty minute ride in the back of a 4×4 Multi-cab. It is not the most comfortable ride, but it is an adventure. The 4×4 is necessary to make the journey up the mountain road to the base of Osmeña Peak, a comfortable van just won’t cut it. Once we arrive at the mountain base we sign in and begin our hike towards the top. Along the hike we see many of the vegetable farms that make this area the “Vegetable Basket” of Cebu.

Combine with some unique topography that gives Bohol's Chocolate Hills a run for beauty and uniqueness.

Once we reach the top you know the trek was worth it! From the highest point you can see from coast-to-coast. The island of Bohol and Bohol Sea out off to the East and Negros island to the West. After the hike we will stop off at one of the mountain villages where many of Cebu’s vegetables are traded and sold. This is a great chance to see a different way of life from the fishing villages found around the coast. You can even try some of the local street food!
